Shri I.K.Pandey, an Eminent Engineer and former Director General (Road Development) & Special Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways is the founder of Roadvarta. He graduated in the year 1982 in Civil Engineering and pursued a course of Masters in Foundation Engineer. He did a course in Environment Impact Assessment & Auditing (EIA&A) from University of Bradford, United Kingdom and a course in Advanced Bridge Engineering at TIC (Tokyo International Centre), Japan. He has worked in the Ministry & NHAI in various capacities. During his career spanning over 38 years, he had successfully got executed number of prestigious Highways and bridge projects & resolved contractual disputes successfully. He held chair of apex committees of IRC namely GSS General, HSS, BSS for 3 years and was instrumental in finalizing and approval of number of IRC specification and Codes. As chairman of ING-IABSE,he organised many workshops and seminars across the country to disseminating knowledge in the field of Bridge Engineerin. As an active member of Board of Directors of NHAI and NHIDCL the two main agencies of MoRTH, he was guiding them in all technical and contractual matters. He was also playing a key role in harnessing technical expertise of academic Institutes and associating them in Safety Audit and research & development of highway infrastructure through introduction of new technology and innovation for accelerating pace of construction, reducing time and cost of construction.
Besides have great interest in environmental protection, sustainable infra development, dispute resolution/Arbitration.
